Irene Healey, AOCA, BSc.AAM, CCA
Irene Healey trained as a fine art sculptor prior to receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art as Applied to Medicine from the University of Toronto, Canada. Ms. Healey worked at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, in Toronto for over ten years, where she developed an expertise in osseointegrated implant retained facial prostheses.
Ms. Healey later formed a private practice with a focus on the research and development of new types of external body prostheses. Her company, New Attitude, specializes in a lightweight custom made external breast prosthesis.Ms. Healey presently maintains private practices in Toronto, Canada and Albany, NY.
Ms. Healey served as President of the American Anaplastology Association/International Anaplastology Association in 1999.
